About

Our Story

Changing lives one beat at a time. . .

JW-Music, Inc. was founded on one simple belief: music has the power to change lives.

For our founder, Franklyn Bonnie Johnson-Williams, music has never been just about performance—it has been a lifelong journey of education, healing, leadership, and community transformation. Growing up in Sierra Leone, music became a language that united people across cultures, generations, and backgrounds. From school bands and church choirs to international concert stages and classrooms around the world, that journey has always pointed toward one purpose: using music to make lives better.

Today, that purpose lives through JW-Music, Inc.

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing meaningful music experiences to children, seniors, churches, schools, and communities. Whether it’s a joyful drum circle in a recreation center, a therapeutic music session in a senior living community, professional development for music educators, or helping young musicians discover their confidence, every program is designed to inspire connection, creativity, and hope.

What We Believe

Creative growth for every stage

We believe music is more than entertainment.

Music teaches discipline.

Music strengthens confidence.

Music creates belonging.

Music preserves culture.

Music promotes wellness.

Music builds stronger communities.

Our Programs

Our programs combine artistic excellence with educational best practices, making music accessible to people of all ages and abilities. We celebrate cultural diversity while creating opportunities for learning, collaboration, and personal growth.

Our Vision

Our vision extends beyond teaching songs or rhythms. We are building communities where children develop confidence through creativity, seniors experience joy and meaningful connection, educators gain innovative teaching tools, churches strengthen worship through music, and families discover opportunities to learn together.

Every beat we play reminds us that everyone has value.

Every melody tells a story.

Every participant becomes part of something larger than themselves.

As we continue to grow, we invite individuals, schools, churches, businesses, volunteers, and community partners to join us in this mission. Together we can create spaces where music becomes a bridge between generations, cultures, and communities.

Because when people come together through music, lives are transformed. If we can perform together, we can live together.
